Coir Logo Matting Terms and Conditions

Our mats are all hand made using the highest quality material and manufactured by a graphic inlay process. Coir & Synthetic Coir matting is PVC backed, which allows the material to be cut to any shape or design without fraying. This form of manufacture involves physically removing the coir fibres from the right coloured base material, and replacing them with the right coir fibres to make up a design or logo. The design or logo is secured in place before the reverse is then resealed with our special backing process. Please note that intricate designs require an excessive amount of cuts which will weaken the structure of the mat.

Coir is a natural material, and if it is is knocked by a sharp or cornered edge, can develop loose strands. Any loose or protruding strands of coir that may appear should be cut off with a sharp knife or scissors and should never be pulled, as this may affect the integrity of the mat. This is not a fault, but in turn is easily remedied in this way. Snip it and let it settle.

Do not pull any coir strands that are slightly above the height of the base mat as this can cause damage, it must be allowed to naturally splay down and this will help secure the inlay in place.

Coir matting is a natural material and can shed fibres.

Coir Logo Mats are usually supplied a little over sized to allow for trimming on site. This is very easy to do using a straight edge and a Stanley Knife. All Logo Mats are supplied as per the signed off artwork, and a little extra added to allow for a snug fit. If you wish it to be an exact size, do let us know and we can do this, but we do not do this automatically. Why? All mat wells are not exact sizes from top to bottom, left and right, and you will want the ability to shave a little off to get a snug fit. It is so easy to trim, please do ask if you need any advice or have any concerns. but scoring a couple of times will mean a nice straight cut and perfect finish.

If fitted incorrectly the mat may pucker because of stretching and the inlays may loosen. We accept no responsibility or liability if the mat has been fitted by an independent fitter. We advise that a fully qualified and registered fitter is used to fit the matting. When fitting, avoid any folding directly where the mat has been graphically inlaid as this will weaken the backing and loosen the inlay. It is advised that graphic inlaid logo mats should be positioned within a matwell or wall-to-wall area and not free standing. No responsibility can be accepted where any matting has been badly fitted.

It is advised not to position Coir or Synthetic matting in an exposed area directly subject to outdoor elements. This can vastly reduce the longevity of the mats.

Like any flooring, coir matting is susceptible to fading and discolouring in direct sunlight and with wear.

Graphic inlaid matting should not be frequently moved and never rolled up for any length of time in storage.

No form of replacement or guarantee can be offered in any of these specified circumstances or where spiked shoes or heavy boots are worn.

Mats can be prone to stretching and puckering after some wear or if saturated with rain, snow or any form of wet and this may cause the inlays to loosen.
